Privacy notice
This notice explains what Regready collects, why, and what you can do about it. Regready is run by George Faulkner, a sole trader in the UK, who is the data controller. Contact: hello@getregready.co.uk.
What we collect
- If you join the list: your email, how many properties you let, which service interests you, and the region you checked.
- If you buy: your name, email and the property details you give us for your pack (address, bedrooms, rent, occupants, certificate dates and similar). Card payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card number.
- If you book a session: the time you book and anything you share on the call. We don't record calls.
We don't ask for your date of birth, your GOV.UK login, or your tenants' names, and you shouldn't send them to us.
What the deadline checker does
The postcode and certificate dates you type into the checker stay in your browser. To find your region, the postcode is sent to postcodes.io, a free lookup service, and nothing else is sent with it. The page loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which sees your IP address.
Why we use it
- To send the reminders you asked for: your consent. Every email has a way to stop them.
- To deliver what you bought: our contract with you.
- To keep tax records of sales: a legal obligation.
Who else handles it
Netlify (website hosting and form submissions), Stripe (payments), Google (email, and video calls if you book one). Some of these store data outside the UK under standard safeguards approved for UK data transfers. We never sell or share your details for marketing.
How long we keep it
List details until you unsubscribe or the register rollout ends in November 2027, whichever comes first. Property details for as long as you're a customer, then 12 months. Sales records for six years, as HMRC requires.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, download or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Email hello@getregready.co.uk and we'll reply within a month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
